Seeing Clint was always a nice fun thing for Jen to do on her downtime. He got her mind off studying. Sometimes, there were little things she could do to help him out around his new apartment building. (She still couldn't believe he had become a landlord.) And then there was what they usually got up to in their spare time, which had happened last night. A few times. They were both still in agreement that this arrangement of theirs was nothing serious. That they were friends who liked to have fun together on the regular. Still, she had made a promise to herself a long time ago to never take the Walk of Shame (or Cab of Shame) from the residence of Clint Barton ever again.
Usually, it wasn't an issue. If she needed to be spotted in new clothes, she stole a shirt and returned it to him the next time he swung by her apartment. Now, he had all kinds of a new neighbors, including some that she knew, and so she was making an effort to make the visits between them seem a little more intentional. Clint, the little jerk, was getting nothing but benefit from it. She'd set coffee to perk that morning while he was still asleep, and she filled Lucky's food dish. She took a quick shower just to wake herself up, and when she was done, Clint still wasn't awake. She grabbed a flannel button down from his closet, throwing it on over her shirt and knotting it in the front as she made her way back out into the living room. She poured some coffee into a travel mug and made a grab for Lucky's leash and a pair of spare keys on the wall. The dog came bounding over to her side, swinging his tail excitedly.
"Well I'm glad someone in this apartment is awake and happy to see me." She stooped down, attaching the leash to his collar. She pocketed the keys and made her way outside with dog and coffee in tow. She would take him around the neighborhood for a bit, let him get some fresh air and do his duties before returning him (and maybe Clint would be awake by then). She took a step outside and immediately regretted her altruism. "Oh shiz it's cold..." Stupid polar vortex. It had been so nice two days ago! She took a big gulp of warm coffee as she and Lucky took a walk around the block.
