Description: Victor von Doom meets with Clea in an attempt to form an allegiance between Latveria and the Dark Dimension
Rating: PG/PG-13
Growing up, Victor's birthday had only really been celebrated because of the way his mother doted on him. They had had a special bond, but she had been ripped from him by the powers of Hell. In the years following, the day had usually passed with little fanfare. Once or twice his American friends (back when he'd had those) had made note of the day or given him a small token of appreciation, but in the last few years, everything had changed.
There was a festival outside the walls of his mansion. Singing and dancing in the streets. Vendors selling all manner of food, drink and sweets. It was a day of Latverians to celebrate their freedom, the prosperity of their country, and the man responsible for it. Victor von Doom was not a man easily satisfied, but when he looked out upon the celebrations, he couldn't help but be a little pleased. He had not lead the uprising over King Vladimir for personal glory. He had done it because of his own righteous anger over how the Roma of Latveria had been treated for centuries. He had done it because he had a good and glorious vision for his country.
He had accomplished so much in ten years, but he wasn't nearly finished.
He turned from the windows, making his way to the room where his honor guest would be awaiting. He had instructed Lucia to show her around and give some explanation of Latveria's recent history, to make sure that Clea was shown every courtesy befitting a ruler. He had seen to it that she would receive Latveria's warmest welcome. He strode into the room, wearing his full regalia. He struck an imposing form in the metal armor he had made for himself, that expressionless mask and flowing green cape made him instantly recognizable. "Dear Lady Clea, it is an honor to finally meet you." He offered a respectful and deferential bow of the head, extending a hand of friendship to her. "I hope you have been well taken care of thus far."
