America suggested that Gert have lunch with her and seeing that they were friends, Gert was fine with it. Despite the drama and confusion and continuous lack of answers Xavier's death initiated, only the latter of the three seemed to remain. The world had to move on and while Gert was grateful, it also meant that a lot of her workload included that moving on portion. She hated not having an answer and she felt she owed it to Molly in specific who had attended Xavier's school. The youngest of their little group was a student there, even if she spent most of her time with Lina, Gert, and the others when given the chance. Xavier took care of Molly and that's what Gert hoped for. She owed it to Molly to have an answer and still nothing.
"Always," Gert admitted as she came to join America at their table. Korean cuisine wasn't anything new, and living in the city meant she had access to a lot of these places, though some of the places from back home? Well, she missed those too. Los Angeles would soon no longer be a majority of where she spent her life, but it was home no matter what. She went back and visited every once in a while, but never for long. She and the others built their new life in the East and mostly out of the shadow of their parents.
She took a seat and then picked up the menu immediately, her eyes scanning it though she already had a good idea of what she wanted, "So, what have you been up to? Anything interesting since the last time we spoke?"
