Victor had much on his mind—politics both home and abroad, multiverse theory, his friends, his allies, his days of youth in New York. Nothing happened in his life without him obsessing over the details of it. That was the way in which he had learned so many valuable skills. That was the way he had taken Latveria back for its people. That was the way he had ascended to the highest position of authority in the land.
And it was how he would stay in power.
"Pull!" A concentrated blast shot forward, smashing hard into the metal of his helmet. The attendants in the room stared at Doom's throne, watching tendrils of smoke where the blast had struck but not penetrated the forehead area. He had been conducting similar tests on and off since the death of Charles Xavier (both as a means of reverse engineering the man's grim fate and making sure the same did not happen to Latveria's ruler.)
It seemed the adjustments to the runes and armor strength had made a difference when suddenly the body on the throne convulsed and monitors began to signal the alarm. The Doom-bot he had been testing on slumped over in its seat, going into standby mode. Victor turned to the readings with a frown on his features. Still far too much concussive force for a human to withstand. His armor would take a hit from a normal bullet. It always had. But it seemed the new laser bullet he had created was rather effective at harming things that wouldn't normally be bothered by standard bullets.
Maybe he could use this for his spider problem? He would ponder on that at greater length some other time. For now, he stepped towards the throne, pressing a button at the base of his robot's neck to reset it to a "living" state.
