Times were different. It was strange. They were friends still but things were different. Gert thought back to the times when they were on the run and then when they all ended up at the Stark School in one way or another. She wouldn't call it simple, but the world felt far more black and white back then. They knew right and wrong and the gray didn't seem so big of a swash as it now did. "We could still do our own thing from time to time," Gert offered, though she knew that obligations here and there and everywhere made it so it wasn't really as easily attained without giving something up.
"Even though it'd mean less diplomacy for you. I know how much you love it," Gert said sarcastically though she did wonder now. What if they did do something. She wouldn't call them a team, necessarily, but they shared a common past and a lot of memories.
"Anything's possible," Chase echoed but he didn't sound all that convinced that Gert was being serious or not. Gert didn't know if she was being serious either.
