Post-service - Kitty + Ororo <3
By the end of it all, Ororo wanted nothing more than to put her feet up with a glass of wine -- or maybe the whole bottle. She was wrung out, physically and emotionally, but there were still the kids to corral back onto the bus, the security volunteers to thank, the cleanup to oversee. Her day wasn't anywhere near over.
She had just taken a moment to breathe in between greeting mourners when she saw one face she hadn't been expecting. Ororo smiled, surprising herself with a moment of joy amidst everything. "Kitten," she called, and threaded her way around a conversational cluster to reach her former student. She didn't hesitate before wrapping her arms around the younger woman. "Oh, Kitty," she said into her ear. "I'm so glad you're back."
