Carol and OPEN - Arriving at scene
Carol purposely avoided the Xavier speech and everything involved with it. It brought up too many Feels with a capital F, and she just wasn't in the mood. There were other people who could keep an eye on it. Instead she decided to go flying. She used to prefer jogging or running when she needed to clear her mind, but it didn't really do much for her now that she was a part-Kree powerhouse. So she was monitoring the skies and flying around the outer boroughs, purposely staying away from the Capitol. That was until she got a few warning sounds in her ear bud. It was connected to her phone, so she landed to check it.
At first her reaction was shock when she read it. CHARLES XAVIER DEAD. She felt ... nothing. It seemed impossible. It had to be incorrect. There was no way that was true, there was probably just an attack. An attack, right, she should be there. I should be there. Carol flew to the Capitol. Honestly she wouldn't have believed it until she saw the panic, and sharp eyes spotted two X-Men she didn't really want to deal with. So instead she shifted to the crowd itself. As an Avenger, and a soldier, Carol was used to being in the public eye. She just hoped her authority would actually matter.
"EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION," she barked to the madness. "DO NOT PANIC OR RUN. THIS SITUATION IS BEING HANDLED. WALK TOWARD THE EXITS." For some people, it worked, for others, nothing was going to work. She started flying around, zipping down to help pick people up when they fell before getting trampled, directing them. It was hard to miss the blonde woman in the brightly colored suit, and if they wouldn't listen, she would start physically pointing people in the right direction.
