Tabitha & OPEN (potential Brotherhood members?) - in the crowd.
Tabitha Smith was with a small group of students that she escorted to the speech made by Professor X. As he began to speak, Tabitha chewed her gum, popping bubbles obnoxiously loudly. A few members in the crowded turned to watch her each time she did it, and it only made her smack her gum louder. A few of the students that were with her began to giggle and Tabby shot them a mischevious little smirk. She was only half listening to Professor X, once you have heard this man speak once, you have heard this speech a million times. She was bored, and was only here to supervise a few students that wanted to watch him deliver this important speech in New York.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she leaned against a pillar towards the back of the room. Sighing heavily, she began to work on another large bubble. Blue eyes scanned the room but then fell on the large monitor projecting Professor X's image so people in the back could see. Tabitha felt her breath catch in her throat as she watched the man paused. It was a gut-wrenching moment as the man fall back and blood splatter was visible. The bubble slowly deflated from her lips and Tabby pushed herself off the wall.
Rushing over to where her group of students were, they all had panic in their eyes. Tabitha's hands were already starting to glow a bright yellow as she kept her timebombs in check. Quickly counting heads, and shoved a few panicking guests out of their way as she ushered the small group towards the exits. "Bus. Now. Get on the fucking bus and don't look back. Don't look back whatever you do, get on the bus, get back to school. NOW!" She shoved one girl that was beginning to sob, and grabbed a young boy by the shoulder and put his hand in the hand of the girl that was crying. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. NOW!!" She yelled at her group of students as they began to run towards the door.
Tabitha stood among the madness unfolding, she felt Jean's message pushing into her mind, and Tabitha rolled her eyes as she realized she was being forced into X-Men mode. Using brute strength - which wasn't much - she managed to run down the aisle towards the podium. Two softball sized glowing timebombs flickering in her hands, she was using the light to clear a path - people in the crowd began to file down the aisle she made. Finally finding a target for her timebombs, she threw them at a group of empty chairs, sending them flying back against the wall and giving the crowd more space to run and flee from the scene.
Tabitha's mind went blank, she didn't know what to feel. Was this grief? Anger? Lost in her empty head, all she could do was go into superhero mode and follow Jean's instructions of helping the crowd. Tabitha began to form another time bomb to push more chairs away and prevent any more injuries.
