Timeline: BACKDATED - Early December 2015
Description: Promises.
Rating: PG-13 (For America's mouth and implied sexy times.)
Since getting back into this universe America had been extra careful to be particularly attentive to Karolina's wants and needs. This had resulted in a lot of time being spent at the other woman's condo. Not that the tank minded in the least, there was time to be made up for that she'd missed out on the other woman's life. Hell, time they'd missed out on each other's lives. How the hell had she managed to stay away from Karolina for so long? That was the question that seemed to plague her with how unfathomable the task now felt in her head. Maybe the time away had ultimately been good for both of them, but.... Now America couldn't imagine being anywhere but here. In fact, the night before America had shown up with a purpose in mind, but... Karolina was so beautiful, so welcoming, and so.... Encouraging - in all the right ways - of affection and other attentions that the tank had found herself distracted with another train of thought, and plan of action. The playfulness, the looks tossed her way promising something more but keeping it just out of reach, the…. Karolina still knew how to push all the right buttons to drive America insane in the best of ways. Not that the tank had doubted her girlfriends ability to do so, but… She hadn’t been expecting it. Regardless, of what America had thought, or felt, or wanted, Karolina had been completely in control of the situation. The other woman had controlled the mood, the level of distraction, set the pace, and it had been no secret between the two of them how close America had been to losing her cool the entire time as her hand had gotten swatted away at least once as Karolina barely slipped out of her grip. Yet, it was a ploy America knew all too well. A series of spoken and unspoken dares, a game of cat and mouse that they’d played before, and this was a game that Karolina always won. Of course, it had resulted in a frenzied removal of clothing between heated kisses and impassioned, searching hands. In fact, America faintly recalled that she’d ended up shredding something. Or at least, she’d heard cloth tear as it was hastily ripped away at one point. What ever had gotten torn she couldn’t bring herself to care as it had allowed her access to Karolina’s body, and Karolina to hers, that much faster. The night was half a blur of fiery love making, and the other half gentle affection with easy caresses, tender kisses, soft sweet whispers, and intertwining limbs as they’d lazily laid in each other’s embrace. When morning came America found herself in an unusual situation as she’d woken before her partner. Which had been largely uncommon with Karolina’s need for sunlight. Though, the tank couldn’t be bothered by the passing thought as her heart warmed while watching Karolina sleep. God, how was the other woman always so breathtaking? One of America’s hands had fallen on the other woman’s body with soft, loving caresses as she slept tracing out lines and patterns across Karolina’s skin. Why couldn’t they always be like this? Why couldn’t life just take a fucking hike and leave them alone? Realistically, America knew the answer, but it only made her cling to moments like this, instances where she wasn’t bothered by the outside world, wasn’t upset, wasn’t angry, wasn’t…. Anything but purely in love with the woman before her. A moment where everything within her was at peace, and it was a moment, one of the few she’d ever know, where the world - the multiverse - felt like it was present right before her in the woman she’d spent most of her adult romantic life with. Karolina was beautiful to America. Not just in looks, but in heart and soul. The other woman was her treasure and America would attempt to spend the rest of her life proving that if her partner would let her. America - Karolina began to shift, a soft, sleepy, pleased murmur emerging from the touch of the tanks hand. It was such a small thing, but it was enough to cause the warmth in America’s chest to swell. However, something within it finally reminded America why she’d come here the night before in the first place. Rolling away from Karolina carefully - there was a displeased grumble from the other woman - America leaned out of the bed, snatching up the pants that had been hastily discarded near the bed the night before and started digging through a pocket. A moment passed before she found what she’d been looking for and the tank let the garment drop back to the floor. When America rolled back over to face Karolina the other woman seemed to finally be waking. Shifting the item she’d retrieved into the hand she used to prop herself half up on, it was easily hidden before America’s free hand smoothed over Karolina’s bare back gently. “Buenos dias, Bonita.” The words were soft, loving and America leaned in to place a gentle kiss against the other woman’s shoulder. The bed was warm and comfortable, even when America rolled away from her. Karolina listened patiently, still half asleep as her girlfriend puttered about. She was hopeful that they’d go right back to cuddling as they had been up late the night before for the very best of reasons. It didn’t seem she was going to get her wish since America was talking to her. She smiled at the kiss and soft touches, finally opening her eyes to look up at her girlfriend. “Morning.” She shifted, turning so that she could hold a conversation with America without getting a kink in her neck. “You’re up early.” She reached out. smoothing a hand over America’s curls which looked a bit wild and bed mussed from the night. A soft smile was earned, and America's free hand continued to passively draw against Karolina's skin without thought or direction. “Not for your lack of trying.” The insinuation of what she was referencing easily understood between the two. Leaning in, a tender kiss was pressed against the other womans lips before America drew back, a pleased smile remaining. The hand hiding what she'd retrieved was offered up to Karolina. “For you.” Karolina stared at the small shining object in America's hand. It was a key, and even in her sleep mussed state, she was smart enough to know what that meant. She reached out, taking it and flipping it between her fingers. She had opened her home and her life to America years ago, and now, America was doing the same for her. Now that there was a home and a life on this planet, in this universe, that belonged to America, Karolina could see her girlfriend making good on that promise to share with her. “Oh man, I can’t wait to abuse this. Do I get a spare toothbrush? Do I get my own drawer?” She crawled closer to America, wrapping her body up against her girlfriend. “You know the first thing I want to do with this thing is a surprise sleepover…” Plus, she could keep an eye on the other girl’s fridge and make sure she was eating well and healthily. “I love it. Thank you.” She pressed a few warm kisses to America’s lips. “That earned you a nice big breakfast.” They had opened their lives to each other fully now, after all these years. And she couldn’t help but wonder if the next step wasn’t just...sharing a single life together, but that would come in time. “Got the one with the bay windows.” Was all America managed to get out before Karolina started in with an onslaught of questions all her own. Making sure the place had enough sunlight had been of particular concern to the tank for sake of her girlfriend, even if the other woman hadn’t fully gotten why America had been spent such an extensive amount of time frowning at the windows between the places they’d gone. “You get whatever you want.” The commentary of a surprise sleepover over earned a slow smirk. “Guess I don’t need to tell you, you can come over whenever.” It was a passive attempt at a joke, but really, this response was better than what she’d hoped for. The kisses were returned with ease. “I love you.” Hell, maybe they’d make it out of this alive yet. |
