The case she'd been working on before Kate had gotten back trickled through her mind as America chowed down. It was supposedly a missing persons incident. However, the more she got into it, the less it seemed like a missing person, and more like a runaway. Which prompted a whole host of other questions. Why was someone trying to track down a run away? Did the person who hired them even realize the person they were chasing after had left on purpose? Did the person who left want the person who hired them to know what they were doing? The visit she'd made down to the docks early this morning to have a talk With a worker had gone both well, and - in a sense - horribly. The bruiser had needed to toss out a couple unspoken threats to get the guy to talk, but what he'd said hadn't put her mind at ease.
However, before she could give it too much more thought the hunger that had been gnawing at her had disappeared and America put the take out container down before washing the last of it down with a swig of water.
