Barty breathed a huge sigh of relief wen Rabastan spoke next and answered his question right away. A joke was all. It had been one crazy joke, but that was all. Barty didn't know how people were going to respond to the fact that he, of all people, was in a relationship - hadn't ever had to even theoretically. It was just a bit much. And well, oh man. He was relieved. So relieved. Completely relieved. Well, not completely, but he hadn't ever thought about anything like that before.
This time he accepted the whiskey and felt the need to drink some. His nerves were dancing all over the place. As long as Potter wasn't showing up for a duel, he was fine to be in such a state, had no need to have to draw back.
He took one sip, then another. And finally, a third.
"He...asked, and I said yes, a couple weeks ago now. And it's just...," Barty broke out a smile, "We're, we've, moved in together." That had been hinted at in one journal entry, but it was somewhat vague, and Rab may have missed it.
