Taking the flask, Rabastan chuckled and drank deeply. He didn't need much, there was already a nice level of alcohol in his system, as always. But drinks were always better when they were shared.
"Aside from the depressing drama at the school," he said, shaking his head, "I've noticed some interesting exchanges between you and Evan. Trading enough pet names to make my teeth ache, quite frankly. And something about jealousy, but I tried to block out that bit. Fucking hate that word, but that's not the point. Something's up with you two."
He said that with emphasis, but he was grinning, twirling the coin between his fingers. With his other hand, he offered Barty the flask again; there was no shortage, and he would be either heading home or out somewhere where there would be more to drink after this, so he was hardly worried about whether it might get finished.
Raising an eyebrow, he gave Barty a slightly cocky grin. "How am I doing so far?"
