"Thank you, Father," Draco said with a smile. He sipped at his tea, pleased to know that he had gotten what he'd come here to get. Now he was happy to talk about whatever was on his father's mind.
Well, happy wasn't quite the word. The subject of Vera made Draco's smile disappear; he didn't know exactly how to react to that. He looked at his tea. "There isn't much we can do if she's turned her back on us, is there?" he asked, wondering what his father would have done if it was him. Not that he would ever do such a thing, so it was a moot point, really. "It's up to Aunt Bella and Uncle Rodolphus, though, right? How are they handling it?"
