There was no sound, no movement, and Barty waited a few seconds before peering through the books near the bottom. Oh yes, the rope was visible, even if most of the person was not. So Barty was finally going to get to find out who it was. Standing, Barty carefully made his way around to the person who was definitely controlled. Oh brilliant, no movement whatsoever. And Barty hadn't had to stun him. No, Barty liked the idea of the man being conscious for this bit.
Glancing up, he cast large amounts of water toward the fire that had continued to grow. But keeping his wand out, Barty stepped up close and put his hand where the head should have been. Ah yes, some sort of cloak. Pulling it down, Barty laughed gleefully. "Bite me," he grinned happily, "Puppy got lost in the library."
