Evan sorted and slowly but surely got to his feet, his limbs and other joints popped in places that they sounded a lot worst than it felt. "Oh... God!" he groaned when he felt a small pop on his lower back giving way, "Damn... methinks I'm not as limber as I used to be." he chuckles and turns to look at Barty with a wink then heads for the kitchen. Since he had not been there in some time there was obviously no food but that didn't stop him especially when Evan had a self served ice box. He had known a few people who in fact owed him some well to do favors and provided him with a parchment what whatever type of groceries he needed, Evan simply needed to write it down on said parchment and his cupboard and ice box would be filled in about 15 or 20 minutes, depending on who's working at the time.
Soon enough Evan's cupboards were filled with fresh food enough for two to last the entire day.
Barty took a little more time to get up, more to do with the lazy comfort of staying still after finishing. And really, that rug was comfortable - much nicer to his back than concrete. But he followed Evan quickly enough because the room was much more boring without him. Evan was standing and...writing. And Barty observed his arse from the doorway as he did so. But once Evan was clearly not needing to do more than that then, Barty came up and wrapped his arms around Evan's waist, chin resting on his shoulder. "This is nice," he stated.
"Hmm?" he asked nonchalantly looking over his shoulder with a smile, "What is, love?" then wrapped one arm around Barty and pulls him in.
"This," Barty repeated, not seeing how it wasn't clear. It just...felt right, and he liked it. It...it was, "Waking up, being together," his stomach growled, "breakfast." Perhaps it was silly, but it was different for him, to like doing this kind of thing. Evan had always been one of the few men he had ever...eaten actual food with the morning after. A few men had sometimes stayed the night (or Barty at theirs), often by accident, but he had generally kicked them out or left even before dating Evan. But he liked taking their time like this and just...being together and whatnot. Merlin it was hard to think before eating in the morning.
Evan's face broke out into a grin and kisses him again when he heard that growl, "Sod, you need to tell me these things I don't read minds you know?" Pulling away Evan washed his hands then started to take out some things, the carton of eggs, a large glass mixing bowl, a whisk, the toast, the strawberries, a skillet and some butter. "Now why don't you be a dear," he said sneaking another kiss from Barty, "and put the kettle on for us. I'd like some coffee with my toast." then he busied himself with making breakfast. Soon the house felt more livelier now that there were people living in it again. The sweet smells of the toast cooking mixed with the fruit and the scent of coffee.
That reminded Barty of why he didn't cook so often. Of everything his body needed, food was the aspect he forgot the most, on a regular basis. And eating something quick or out often was a result. But he honestly enjoyed cooking when it happened, and that morning, he didn't care if his stomach sounded like it was going to eat them both, Barty liked watching Evan go all naked chef in the kitchen. He definitely appreciated the naked part of that.
Pulling out the kiss longer, Barty nodded and bumped Evan's hip as he went about on his assigned task. "Reading minds wouldn't help," Barty commented with a grin, "I wasn't thinking about being hungry for food."
