Ginny caught the wince, but pretended she didn't. He had his pride, she knew and she didn't want to make him feel worse. She hated seeing him like this. It made her muscles clench in anger as she thought on it, but she tried to push those thoughts from her mind. Right now was about them having a chance to talk and to possibly undo a little bit of the damage he'd been on the receiving end of.
She followed him to the couch, sitting on the edge and unfolding the bundle to reveal a sandwich, an apple and a few rolls. The potions vials clinked together as they rolled in her lap. "Of course I came." Ginny said softly, resting a gentle hand on his knee. "Much as I don't particularly care for Hollis I wouldn't risk assuming she was lying to me about this."
