"As much as he could without it being too noticeable is what he said," Hermione answered Ginny, her voice still quite low. Biting into her lip, Hermione wondered if she should gloss over how bad Neville likely was, despite Theodore Nott's reassurance that Neville was still in one piece. Reading between the lines, she guessed that Neville was just barely in one piece since Nott had to heal only what was unnoticeable. She feared the other injuries Neville had sustained at Rosier's hand.
When Ginny asked if Hermione's informant could be trusted, she nodded. "I believe so, yes," she said and then bit into her lip. She wasn't sure if she should reveal who it was - not because she didn't trust Ginny, exactly, but because she didn't want anyone overhearing their conversation. "The person who told me is an expert at Healing charms and has been nothing but kind to me. He went in on the pretense of finding Neville because I sought his help, as well as his advice about Rosier and he was always open and honest with me." Despite holding him at arm's length, Hermione trusted Theodore Nott more than any other student in the school.
