Who: Jess and Ginny What: Jess claims her reward Where: Pansy's room When: Morning after this, Friday 29th April (backdated obvs) Warnings: Jess is sort of one to kiss and tell...
Jess, despite the relative comfort of Mr Rosier's wonderful bed, had not slept well. She had had to wait for him to fall deeply asleep before slipping out of it and searching - in the dark - for the stupid journal that Weasley wanted so much, for some reason. She thought it was a little odd that the Longbottom boy wasn't anywhere around. She had assumed she would see him here. But it wasn't any of her business, so she concentrated on looking for the book.
She eventually found it under a pile of clothes - Longbottom's, she surmised - tossed carelessly into a corner in one of the side rooms. She slipped it into the pocket of her coat and crawled back into bed. She wasn't going to waste the opportunity of the warm covers and soft mattress.
When morning came, she simply slipped the coat back over her negligee and left, with the journal tucked safely into one of the inner pockets.
She went back to the dungeon room and changed into something a little more comfortable before going back up the stairs to Parkinson's room. She wasn't sure why Weasley wanted to meet here - it seemed risky - but again, it wasn't as though it were any of Jessica's business. She wondered idly as she knocked on the door whether it was worth double-crossing the lot of them and taking the whole situation to Umbridge.
