Who: James and Lily What: Some time to themselves, finally. And Muggle research! When: Saturday morning. Where: their hotel. Warnings: TBA
It was a rather uncommon occurrence for James to be looking like himself these days. When he wasn't working, as Geoff, he was setting up the house he'd bought with Kingsley, for the purposes of creating the new Order Headquarters. But their plans for that were almost finished, to be finalized this evening over dinner with Kingsley. And as for today... well.
He'd taken the day off work, and insisted that Lily do the same. They'd had so little time to themselves these days, and it was paying off - the extra work hours had paid for this rather nice hotel room, which was more luxury than they'd had in years - but even though he came home to her every night and woke up beside her every morning, James missed his wife. This wasn't the kind of married life he'd wanted for them, and although he knew they were doing everything they could to change their circumstances, he still felt a strong desire to make sure he and Lily were alright.
This morning, he'd gotten up early and procured breakfast for the both of them from the hotel cafe downstairs. Eggs, toast, fruit, and juice for both of them, because they were going to be well fed as long as they could afford to be. He set it down on the little table in their room - more of a desk, really, but it made a decent breakfast table - and woke Lily with a kiss on her cheek. He'd promised her a day of his services in her research, and he wasn't entirely sure what all that entailed, but so long as they were spending the day together, they could start it off right.
