WHO: Bill and Ginny WHAT: Tea and Talking WHERE: Bill's Hut WHEN: Just after Lunch WHY: Ginny has to get him up to speed on things and could use some brotherly love RATING: Lowish STATUS: Complete!!
Just after lunch was served in the Great Hall, Ginny made use of the general organized chaos that was the students returning to their classes to slip out of the castle unnoticed. Though she knew Pansy would have no trouble at all with her going to visit her brother, even before recent events the older girl had instructed her to spend time with Bill and Ron, she would rather not get caught by any of the authority figures in the school. And if someone saw her sneaking off, they'd go and tell Pansy and then she'd have to pretend to punish Ginny for it and it could all get very messy and complicated. No, better to be safe about it.
She had a lot to catch Bill up on. Of course he hadn't come up to the meeting during the ball. She figured he wouldn't be able to, but had invited him for obvious reasons. So there was all that business. Aside from that, just having the company would make her feel a little bit eased about Neville. Even if nothing Bill could say would make the situation right. She briefly considered telling him about the kiss, but quickly squashed that idea as it would be silly to bring up and he'd tell her she was being overly emotional about the whole sodding thing and that she oughtn't go throwing herself down a flight of stairs for a bloke and a kiss. That's what she figured anyhow. Not that she'd be telling him about the staircase plan either, mind. Since when did she have so many secrets?
Giving a soft knock at the door she waited for him to answer, not wanting to walk in on anything she'd rather not see just in case Professor Delacour was there. She yawned and frowned hoping she didn't look quite as tired as she felt. It wasn't from being overworked, more that she'd been having a worse time of sleeping lately. Nightmares and the like keeping her awake. Bother. Tea would help, she was sure. It was a cureall as far as she was concerned.
