Terrence felt that he'd just about used up his quota for advice and dealing with other people's problems for at least a full year. He normally enjoyed being a mentor and a big brother, but having to deal with the complications of both at about the same time was tiring. At least he couldn't complain about his own love interest; Ella was drama-free and loads of fun to be around. That definitely made up for everything else.
So, as uncertain as he was that he would be of any use to Z, he was in a decent mood as he headed to meet his protege. This wasn't exactly the type of time he'd planned to spend with Z in his last month of school, but that was alright. He'd been giving Z the chance to make his own fun for a while now, and shacking up with a girl like Tracey was Terrence's idea of a good plan for his friend. Despite the drama, which Terrence did not envy at all, but Z seemed to think it was worth it. That was really all that mattered.
He gave the password at Z's door and walked in with a grin of greeting, dropping easily into one of the chairs. "What's on your mind, Z?"
