Just because he was enjoying himself now, Terrence decided, did not mean that it was worth rethinking his stance on balls and dancing - or on etiquette in general. No, he was enjoying himself despite hating this sort of thing, and despite the presence he probably ought to have been worried about. He hardly ever got really upset about anything, as a general rule, and it was especially hard to do so with Ella on his arm.
He was more in danger of bursting out laughing at inappropriate times than of getting bored or not enjoying himself. Honestly, the sight of the Dark Lord at an event like this was hilarious to him, but he'd managed to keep a straight face thus far. He doubted even his parents could find something to complain about in regards to his behavior, if they even bothered to complain these days.
And that was the other brilliant thing about this ball, the reason why his parents were here. Not only did he have the best date to the ball, but his sister was here! His two favorite girls in one room, and Z was happy again, too.
It was going to be a good night. Not even Ella's parents could ruin his mood.
