Who: Theo and Zach.
What: Talking.
When: Tuesday evening.
Where: Zach's room.
Why: Their lives are hard, okay.
Warnings: TBA.
What Theodore wanted, more than anything else in the world right now, was a break. His normal methods of relaxation were to spend time with Blaise (sometimes, but not always, with alcohol) or have cocoa with Pansy, but he wasn't sure how his time with Blaise was going to work out in their new room, and he wasn't entirely sure that he could look Pansy in the eye. His room was gone, and the infirmary was no longer his sanctuary - it was now a source of extra, unneeded stress in Theodore's life.
For all of those reasons, he had been looking forward to seeing Zach all day. It didn't matter if Zach was in a worse mood than he was, Zach's room was safe, their friendship uncomplicated, and he was someone Theodore could talk to. He had quite a bit to get off his chest, and he had a feeling that his friend did too.
He considered bringing the last bit of his whiskey, his birthday present from Blaise that they'd never finished because they had gotten otherwise occupied. It was tempting, so tempting, to have a drink. But he was likely going to do enough of that now that he was sharing a room with Blaise and Draco, and Theodore knew what he really needed was a sober, serious night. It was best for him and for his liver.
But there was something he could bring. He still had a very large store of cocoa, and no idea when he was going to use it next. He and Pansy had managed to overcome every obstacle they'd faced so far, and Theodore was fairly confident that they'd get past this one - being awkward around her just sucked so much that he would be damned if he didn't get over it somehow - but he had no idea when that would happen. And cocoa was really comforting, exactly what he needed right now, without the cuddling that usually went along with it. Theodore was most definitely not in a cuddling mood.
Cocoa in hand, he knocked on Zach's door, feeling a bit of tension seep out of him already. Hopefully they'd both feel better by the end of the night.
