Terrence wasn't against thinking in general, either, but he made a distinction between what he thought and what he felt. If he felt something, he believed it to be true, and dealt with it accordingly. By thinking in such a way that would result in happiness and satisfaction, of course, since he always believed such an option was possible.
"Just a bit," he agreed, but sighed, forced to admit that he was out of his depth. "I don't know what to tell you, Z. If she's already made a rule that relationships are to be avoided, you're going to have to do some tricky maneuvering to get around that one. Figure out what rules you can make so that she feels like you have less of a chance of failing, maybe."
He turned his hands palm up and shrugged slightly. "I've never done anything like this, but I'd approach it the same way I do everything else. That's about as much advice as I can give you."
