Other than sources of gossip, Zach found most everything he needed with his friends. Social life was excellent. Food wasn't an issue. Even without servants, there were house elves, which the Smiths had generally kept to as more reliable sources of labor. House elves did not rebel or refuse to do as ordered or...anything like that. They were excellent choices. And well, what else did Zach need? A wife, yes, in the long run, but he was fairly certain that one of his friends might become that. He certainly wished to be friends with his wife.
And healer was just a fortunate coincidence and extension of that. Theo being an option was better than a stranger. It wasn't like buying a potion or broom or something else. It was a person-person interaction. Zach kept few secrets from his friends, and he had shared the biggest with Theo that night. Certain thing excepted, and that didn't need medical help.
"I plan on finding and removing interesting curses, so I should hope to be an interesting - though not so interesting you cannot help - patient," Zach grinned. Pain was just pain. He disliked it, yes, but there were worse things to deal with. And if there was such promise for what lay beyond? Mm.
