WHO: Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley (Maybe Neville too...) WHAT: Keeping each other company WHERE: Around Grimmauld Place WHEN: Friday Afternoon WHY: Because everyone needs a break from the safehouse sometime. RATING: Low STATUS: Complete!
Ginny was going a little stir-crazy being cooped up in the safehouse. There were too many people and not nearly enough hiding spots. Plus it seemed like everywhere she turned, someone was asking her if she was alright. Freedom was turning out to be a lot like being held captive. Except without the constant fearing for her life part. Most of the time.
Even things with Neville had gotten a bit weird. She blamed it mostly on the fact that they had about a million people watching every time they were close to one another, which made it incredibly awkward to actually talk or be affectionate and so she was afraid that they were drifting. She hoped it was all in her head, though she couldn't be sure. Part of her wanted to leave the safe house and find a smaller, though less crowded place to stay. Of course, that only really worked if Neville came with her and her family was mostly the problem. And by her family she meant the twins, who had eased up quite a bit since Neville's birthday, but who were by no means alright with them spending any alone time together.
Getting the note from Harry had all at once lifted her spirits and put a bit of a damper on them. She was glad to have someone else to talk to, but she was a little sad that he was still here. He had a world of his own to get back to. Especially now that he was done saving theirs. She would always be grateful to him for his help, which mostly meant she wanted him to be happy. She knew he couldn't find that happiness here. She also knew that she was partly to blame for that. In a weird way.
Still, she was overjoyed when he suggested going for a walk. She wanted desperately to get out of the house for a bit and she figured maybe the two of them could talk and come up with a potential way to get him back home. She had invited Neville along, partly because she didn't want him to think that this walk of her's was somehow something other than exactly what it was. The other part was mostly because she wanted to spend a bit of time with him away from the house. She still wasn't sure if he was coming or not, but at least now she felt better about going with Harry if Neville decided not to go.
She was sitting in the living room, curled up in a chair reading a book waiting for him. Though her focus was more on the clock beside her rather than the words on the page. She'd been up for hours, unable to stay asleep and she didn't know what time he was planning on getting there, but every minute seemed to drag waiting for him.
