Terry felt great relief at Tsura's father's words. He'd passed the man's test, but he was smart enough to know there would be more in the next few days. Still, he felt a bit more relaxed as Tsura and her mother came forward.
Terry looked at the coffee pot obligingly. "It is beautiful." Tsura had told him once that coffee pots were objects of great pride among Romani wives, and had warned Terry to compliment every woman's coffee pot, even if it was the ugliest thing he'd ever seen. This was a finely crafted piece, however, and Terry had no trouble complimenting it. "It's a piece of art, really," he said, wishing he could actually touch the thing. "You made a wonderful bargain of two goats for it. For such a beautiful thing that has given you such service and such joy..." He saw Pitivo take a drink of coffee and paused to take a drink himself. The coffee was hot and comforting and was exactly what he needed. He smiled broadly. "You could have given them three goats and I'd think it was a good bargain, considering how good this is."
