Kingsley feels rather frustrated with Vera so he remains silent and stoic, as usual. He wonders briefly, very briefly, how he found himself in the position of purchasing a servant, something he never wanted anything to do with for any reason.
"I can't do much to ensure her safety, but this is something I can do, so I will," he replies simply and cautiously. "And if anything happens to her at the hand of one of the students, they will answer to me. And with my size, stature, and status, I can't imagine one would find it pleasant to be on my bad side."
What in the world would Caradoc say to this decision? Kingsley shudders to think.
