Sirius folded his arms on the table and laid his head on them. He had no idea what Remus had gotten him and it was driving him mad. Vera had intimated that it was a gift Sirius would love--and had said if he didn't love it, she'd hex him in sixteen different ways (or something of that manner).
He already knew his gift would be accepted--he just hoped it wasn't with a rather bored, "Well, at least it's new this time," since they'd already covered this ground before. But Vera had rolled her eyes at every other suggestion he'd made as a Christmas gift... And Remus had said he would like it. Right?
"You're a cruel man, Moony, making me wait," he said sadly. "How in the hell am I supposed to enjoy pancakes--tree-shaped ones, no less--when I'm dying of curiosity?" He waited a second and then shot a grin and a wink at Remus to let him know he was teasing--if only partially.
