Surprises for Remus Who: Remus/Melissa and Sirius What: It's a surprise When: About 15 minutes before Remus' break for lunch occurs Why: I told you; it's a surprise. Basically, it's for Sirius to show Remus he really means to do better at the whole 'commitment' thing. (If he happens to get sex out of the deal because of the flowers, all the better. I never claimed he was a saint.) Rating: Low Warnings: None that I can think of, unless Remus just can't accept the gift gracefully.
Sirius glanced in the plate glass of the shop next to the veterinarian's office where Remus--"Melissa," he reminded himself--worked. The glamour he'd chosen was one he'd never tried before, so if Re--Melissa was surprised by it, all the better. He glanced back down to the bouquet of flowers in his hand, checking for the three hundredth time that the small metal item was still tucked among the leaves. With a grin and a madly thumping heart, he headed for the veterinarian's door.
A scowling man with a scowling bulldog were just emerging from the building, so Sirius held the door open for them. The bulldog sniffed at Sirius' shoe and glanced up at him with head tilted. Sirius bent over to pat the dog, and might have exchanged a few confidential whines, but the man tugged at the leash, hurrying the bulldog on.
"Git," Sirius muttered under his breath. His smile returned as he stepped into the reception area, where he could see Melissa bent over the computer keyboard. "Hey," he said to get her attention. "I've got a delivery for--" he made a show of looking at the envelope also tucked within the leaves, "someone named Melissa?"
