"If you want music so much, why not just charm the blasted thing to play something?" It was a valid question as far as Ernie was concerned. Zacharias had full use of his magic. Quite unlike the servants, who's only real magic was the very limited wandless type that they learned from each other, or very much like the magical outbursts as children. Magical accidents more than anything. Accidents that usually resulted in a lot more cleaning.
There were a lot of things he wanted to ask his new master. Most of which had nothing to do with each other. They were personal questions, the type of inquiries he had been too afraid to make with Cynric because it wasn't his place as he was so much older. Zacharias, however, was his age. A few days younger, in fact, they still had quite some time to go in this place.
