Who: Romilda, Fred, George What: important talking about George and Percy and... everything When: Tuesday Where: Regent's Park, wherever they're keeping George Warnings: heavy emotional stuff
There was so much Romilda regretted right now. Not learning to fight sooner, so she could have fought her way back to George's side, protected him better. Not telling anyone what Percy had told her, if that could have made a difference before he died. Not doing something, whatever it was she could have done, to prevent what had happened on Saturday, to prevent what had happened to George in the first place. But she hadn't even known him when all this had first started happening, she'd only come in partway through.
After staging quite a dramatic show of tears and shaking for the Headmistress - not just in her note, but in her office, she was allowed to leave the castle. She Flooed home, then Apparated directly to Regent's Park, carrying her journal, in case she needed to refer to it.
Fred had to know about Percy's memories, about why George had done this in the first place. Would it have helped for him to know earlier? She didn't know, but Percy had confided in her for a reason, so the truth would come out, if his plans went to hell. Now Percy was dead, and she had only seen him in person once, but she had secrets of his to tell.
At the park, she paused to compose herself. She'd been shaking and crying earlier, and even if it was mostly for dramatic effect, she was still having trouble holding it together. Even more now that she knew George was alive, since the idea of vengeance had been her glue before, to keep her from falling apart. But he was alive... with his family? That meant - well, she didn't know quite what that meant, but it definitely wasn't as simple as finding George's (and Percy's) killer and then - doing whatever she would do to them.
Brushing away the last of her dramatic tears with one hand, she ran the other hand through her short hair and tried to take deep breaths, to calm herself down.
