Who: James and Sirius What and Why: Meeting for a nice quiet, peaceful conversation and some alone time. (And that is not intended as dirty and naughty as it sounds.) When and Where: Evening at the nearest park Warnings: Sirius has the mouth of a sailor. Might as well get used to it.
It was so hot that even the nannies hadn't taken their charges for walks in the park that day. The ducks were squawking with irritation that bread crumbs weren't readily available, and the caretaker decided against collecting rubbish because, with few children around, there couldn't be much rubbish there to collect. There were only a few vagrants hiding in the shadows and a handful of brave (and possibly foolhardy) teenagers kicking a football around in the park when the big black dog padded through the park gates.
He paused just inside then began to follow the path to the left. One of the boys caught sight of the dog and whistled, trying to get his attention. With a disdainful glance over his shoulder, the dog shifted into a lazy trot.
After a minute or two, the dog stopped at a small knoll that was enclosed on three sides by some rhododendron bushes. He snuffled his way between and around them and then, satisfied that he could smell no one else, flopped down next to the paved pathway to wait.
