After finding a place to meet, Hannah shut her journal and just sat on her bed. While she had written to Ernie about her need to see him so soon, she suddenly couldn't find herself moving from her bed. She was still shaking after the experience, even though it wasn't as terrible as the first time. But was it ever ok? She was beginning to worry that she would get use to this all too fast and that scared her more than Afton.
She glanced in the mirror to see her eyes were red and puffy from the crying and trying to hold it in. She had small hiccups that seemed to catch her off guard and she didn't want to meet Ernie in this state. As far as he knew, she just wanted to see him and spend some time just the two of them. She had enjoyed their moment behind the gargoyle the other day, but she had been unable to see him since then. The last thing she wanted Ernie to do was lash out at Afton and only get a punishment in return.
When she was sure she looked presentable, she left Blaise's room hoping he wouldn't be back soon. She had wanted to speak to him too, hoping he would be upset at how she was used by Afton. But she needed the comfort she could only get from Ernie. He would make her feel better without her having to tell him what happened.
As she walked down the corridor towards Zach's room, she realized that part of her wanted to tell Ernie what had happened. She knew it wasn't smart and that Ernie's reaction wouldn't be to her liking...or would it? Wasn't that part of the reason she would want to tell him? To see him get angry at Afton, to want to hurt him as well? She was surprised by her own realization and quickly tried to suppress it. It wouldn't be right, it wouldn't be right... She repeated that phrase as she made her way to their meeting point, knocking on the door and hoping she hadn't beaten him there.
