Draco's comment had not been entirely directed towards Afton; he was not particularly pleased with the fact that he seemed to have been double-booked. He would have been even less pleased if he had, in fact, been required to have a double interview.
"I would," he said smoothly, with the air of someone used to getting what he wantde, though he was giving the other boy a calculating look. He seemed all too ready to take second, which made Draco suspect that Afton thought he had the upper hand. "I didn't come all the way down here to wait in the hallway."
He was most certainly not indebted, and if for whatever reason Afton was getting any enjoyment out of this, well. It hardly mattered. He would soon learn that Draco Malfoy was a difficult act to follow.
Without leaving it up for more discussion, he knocked on the door.
