Pansy shook her head. "None taken, Professor. The only reason I could surmise for being taken, at first, was that I had been the one to capture Sirius Black. Potter said as much when I first asked what he wanted from me. He never asked specific questions, except to request respect. He wanted me to call him sir. What he did do was try to use legilimancy on me, but I honestly couldn't tell you exactly what he was probing for." She took another sip and felt comforted by the weight of the ring on her finger.
"I'd been practicing mind control with Draco Malfoy prior to my capture and, though I am not exceptionally skilled at Occlumency, I was able to somewhat block my mind, only focusing on the four walls I could see and Sirius Black. I don't think he was very skilled at what he was doing either, so perhaps we were on par with one another. I excel at my subjects, but I don't have delusions of being as skilled as a full-grown Witch or Wizard." She leaned forward, resting an elbow on her knee. "I told him I refused to speak, and he challenged my ability to remain silent. Before, he'd only dislocated my shoulder in the process of binding me, but he used the physical pain to try and break my silence. I never discovered what he wanted from me. But, if it was just a revenge call, why didn't he just kill me where I was? I was wandless and bound. Hardly a formidable opponent." She paused to take a breath. She wasn't used to talking so much, but even she had to try and recall those first days when it had been the worst, when she'd been scared she'd never come back to the castle. It had been a blur after she'd started going in and out of consciousness, when she'd refused the food he had offered her. She furrowed her brow and looked back at the Professor.
"I'm trying to remember better details for you, Professor, but after the first day, it's hazy. He did offer me food, but I refused it. Between that and the pain and how much energy I was exerting into trying to communicate with Draco, I blacked out several times." That was all true, too. She didn't need Anthony's ring to seem honest about that. Everything she'd said was true, actually. Except it had been an unknown black man that had captured her, not James Potter.
