Who: James, Lily, Fred, George. What: Plotting to get Remus out. Screw Snivellus, we dun need your help When: Thursday night, I guess. Where: Headquarters. Warnings: TBA
Snape hadn't come through for them. James knew that he wouldn't, had known that all along, really. But the more he waited, the more he knew, deep down, that they were doing the wrong thing. Since when had he ever left the fate of his friends in anyone else's hands, much less an old enemy's?
No. Something needed to be done, and no one could do it better than him. He'd just have to make sure it got done well, this time. Not rushing in, but completely planned out. There must have been spells on the Ministry during the diversion of the castle being blown up, so diversions wouldn't necessarily work so well. Hm.
What he needed was fresh eyes and new tricks. Well, he knew exactly who to turn to for that, with Fred and George Weasley under his roof. Sirius had gotten hurt last time, and James wasn't sure what state he was in now, but he knew Lily was as restless about it as he was. Hopefully she wasn't too attached to the idea of getting Snape involved.
After dinner, as he'd said in his note, he headed to the living room to wait for them. He wasn't planning on going to sleep tonight without a plan.
