Who: Tits and Ass (Terrence and Anthony) What: awkward conversation times. When: after this and this, aka Monday the 14th, evening. [backdated] Where: the flat of awesome. Warnings: even their nicknames need a warning for language, so... yeah, language.
A few minutes after reading the messages Pansy had left him, Terrence was still practically in shock. He'd stared at his journal at first, wondering if he'd read it correctly. Pansy Parkinson saying thank you to him? Never in his life had he expected to hear those words from her mouth. Asking why hadn't just been playing innocent, he was genuinely confused.
He couldn't actually remember if he and Pansy had ever said kind words to each other. He supposed they must have, before they shagged. At least, they hadn't been unkind words, at that point. Flirtatious ones, mostly. But before that? He honestly didn't know.
And when she confirmed what he suspected she was thanking him for, the full meaning of it set in. She liked Anthony, she had to. She viewed what Terrence had done as helping Anthony, and she had gone so far as to thank him for it. Much as it disturbed him that she knew - since he had absolutely no reason to trust her - her message had impressed upon him that she cared enough about Anthony to keep it a secret.
She had to. Because if anyone had told him before this that Pansy Parkinson would thank him, Terrence, for anything, he'd have laughed in their face. Obnoxiously.
He looked up from his journal when the door opened, from where he was sitting on the couch, feet up on the coffee table. Good, Anthony was home. He had yet to figure out how much of an arse he wanted to be to his flatmate about the girl he'd just found out about, and it would probably depend on the way Anthony reacted. On whether Terrence could tell how much he cared about her.
He opened his mouth to say something, but then he took in Anthony's appearance. He probably should have reached for his wand, except that Anthony was the only other person who could open the door of his flat. Instead of saying anything or moving a muscle, he burst out laughing.
Oh well, even if it was an intruder, at least he'd go down laughing. As he'd always planned.
