Romilda felt nothing but pleasing warmth spreading through her, from her mouth to the ends of her fingers and toes. She couldn't get enough of the taste of his mouth, and the passion in this kiss left her feeling light-headed. It was a lovely surprise, but it just made her want more, want to see what kind of heat he kept so carefully contained, deep down.
She opened her eyes when the kiss broke to see him looking more beautiful than ever, freshly snogged and his expression suffused with happiness. She was fairly sure the look on her face had to be similar.
Then she laughed. Apologizing, really? For what was, if not her favorite kiss so far in her life, definitely one of the top three.
"You have absolutely no reason to apologize to me," she informed him, touching his cheek. "I really like you, Wayne."
And wasn't that an understatement. But he seemed a bit behind her in the emotions department, and she didn't want to overwhelm him.
