Wayne immediately grinned, pleased that she would actually get some use from his measly cigarette instead of just wondering why the hell he'd given it to her. He had thought it likely to be a silly, useless gift, but when he caught the way she was looking at him, Wayne realized that she quite possibly was just as touched by his gift as he was by hers.
That made him feel good all over again.
It was a relief when she kissed him. It was quick, and he was only given a second to return it, because she was pulling back and making another offer that endeared her to him. Did Romilda really want to see him, or was she just so kind that she was willing to give up some of her personal space so he could paint?
A hand lifted to rest on her waist, original plan only for it to be a reassuring touch. It just didn't stay that way. Wayne's arm wrapped around her, drawing her close enough until she was posed just underneath him. The smile was almost shy, as it flickered into place just moments before he kissed her. Just because this one wasn't as innocent as those he'd given her, before.
