"Oh," he nodded, hearing that Zach's parents were just fine. Most parents were - at least, in their ring of friends. Blaise had known eight different fathers, none of which were his real father or even acted like fathers. They only cared about his beautiful mother and enjoyed the fact that Blaise was off at school. But now what? This one didn't give a shit about him either and his mother's condition was unstable and she wasn't even awake.
"She's - fine." A mask had already been put on the moment Blaise brought the subject up. He didn't share things with people, he didn't open up and talk about his feelings (or lack there of), especially not with people he was hardly friends with. But maybe that was why he said something to Zach. He wasn't like his other friends, they didn't really know each other well (or so he thought; Theo didn't share information about Zach).
Even with the mask of emotional apathy, Blaise had paused enough for someone to see through it. Besides, he had brought it up for a bloody reason. "She will be," he shrugged, realizing the mistake.
