It was a lot to take in? Barty wasn't sure. It was magic. It was something he ha known about since before he was able to remember having conscious thought. Magic simply was naturally as anything else. But Evan had forgotten it. It was like forgetting water existed or something else, just so utterly basic. And yet Evan had to ... wrap his mind around it.
But Barty laughed with Evan, let himself laugh because whatever quantum mechanics was, it had nothing on magic, nothing on any of it. And he was having to tell Evan about such basic things. It was hilarious. Barty settled down as Evan did and just wanted to hold him. But he didn't as that required him to get on the bed, which he was fairly certain Evan wasn't ready for yet.
"It's good to hear you laugh," Barty replied. He waved Theo over, who had returned with hot food.
