There was a new idea. A new...dilemma. Evan didn't remember magic. Evan didn't remember apparition or floo powder, the two most usual ways they went to and from the house. That was...mildly surprising. But once they got Evan there, he wasn't going to need to travel magically for a while. But how to explain it?
"We live in Cambridge," Barty replied, "About 100,000 people. We don't have a car, but we have a faster method of transport." Fireplace transport. How would one get that to make sense to a muggle? "It uses fireplaces, which allows us to very quickly go from one place to the next," he continued. Oh what was that thing some muggle bloke had tried to explain to him once? Being in two places at once, instantly moving thingymabobs. "It's sort of quantum mechanical." That was the phrase. Barty had a good memory. Hopefully that made it make sense.
Magic as physics. And bloody hell this was a day he never expected to see.
