Who: Terrence, James, Kingsley, Sirius - possibly Barty or other MLE as well later.
What: a foiled attempt to rescue Remus.
Where: Ministry of Magic.
When: Tuesday night [backdated].
Warnings: FIGHTING YAY. I mean...
It had taken Terrence a moment to realize exactly what the sound was. He wasn't exactly thinking much about his job at the moment, having just successfully orchestrated what had turned into a bombing at Slytherin Academy, and had been celebrating - not to mention laughing his bloody arse off - at the commotion it had caused. But in the middle of his celebratory haze, one of his spells that he'd set on the Ministry went off.
He'd set the dark detectors up a while ago, on the grounds around the Ministry, entrances, hallways, and the lift. Even on the roof. And it had paid off, apparently. His diversion at the castle seemed to have given the Outsiders an opportunity to make a move on the Ministry. Not exactly something Terrence had anticipated - if he'd anticipated it, he'd be sober right now - but really fucking brilliant all the same. Not only had he gotten amusement, but he'd gotten a lead on the Outsiders out of the deal.
He swallowed a potion to sober himself up, wincing as it removed all of the alcohol from his system, and looked at Anthony. Could he trust his new accomplice to have his back in battle? Probably, but he hadn't had a chance to test Anthony's skills yet, and the MLE was likely to show up on the scene - in fact, he should probably write to Barty for back-up. It was decided, then. "Stay right the fuck here," he said with a grin. "I'll be back."
In moments, he was mobilized. Disillusionment Charm, which was less likely to get in his way than his Invisibility Cloak, knives primed and ready and spelled against Expelliarmus, his wand in his hand. He locked down his flat, ensuring that Anthony wouldn't leave; not that he didn't trust him, but the other boy was drunk enough that he might do something stupid. Then he was at the Ministry, on the scene immediately.
He'd seen them in his Foe Glass, using one of the less well protected entrances to the Ministry. Their faces weren't their own, at least he was fairly certain of that; one of the things his spells detected was glamours and Polyjuice, and they had set off those alarms. He aimed Stupefys and Expelliarmus's at the three in quick succession, then shifted position immediately, eyes moving up to the rafters. It wasn't a fair fight, three of them against him, but he was invisible. And he was creative.
