The fact that Terrence had kept true to his word and had come for him strengthened Anthony's trust in the older boy. Fucking weird, considering the fact that only months before, the student had tried to water torture him. It didn't matter, though. That was in the past, and it would remain there. This more than evened the score. What set him off-balance was that now he was being offered a wand. A bloody wand.
Anthony was so, so grateful that he was invisible. He wasn't the type to cry, or even get emotional in a way that wasn't borderline angry. However, having a wand restored his power. It gave him something. It made him a man again.
No one else could have given him that. Not in the way Terrence had.
Swallowing, he reached for the wand and eyed it slowly. A real wand. One that worked. So he could remain in contact with people and hex his entries. Smart. Terrence trusted him enough to expect that Anthony wouldn't kill him with it.
Trust came in strange packages.
"Well. I suppose I'll have to work on using spells again. The only ones that ever came naturally were the ones that injured people, or charmed my wanger not to make any baby Goldsteins."
