Who: Sirius & whoever he runs in to [Lucius, Pansy, Draco, Narcissa, Bellatrix, etc.] Where: Diagon & Knockturn Alleys, London When: Saturday afternoon What: Sirius wants to see a man about getting some wolfsbane Rating: Probably high, as when dueling, Sirius likes to run off at the mouth
Sirius decided it was a good idea to blend in. He hadn't worn his robes in a long while, but he put them on over black trousers and a dark button-down shirt, open at the collar. He tucked his wand in his front pocket and ducked out of his apartment door. He'd put some wards up himself that prevented apparation. Of course, most of the current Ministry officials were powerful enough to break them if they tried. Made him feel a spot safer at least.
He apparated to an alleyway just a short walk from The Leaky Cauldron. He wondered if he'd be recognized. He shared many features with his oldest cousin, definitely looked like a Black. And he was certain many people knew the story, everyone seemed to have known what happened those fateful months.
He frowned for just a moment before ducking into the pub. He was rewarded with the sounds and smells he remembered. Tempted though he was to stop for a butterbeer or shot of Ogden's (when was the last time he'd tasted either of those?), Sirius slipped through to the Diagon Alley entrance. He touched his wand to the proper bricks then stepped back as they faded away.
Taking a deep breath, Sirius stepped out into the crisp but clear air, setting foot in the wizarding world, truly, for the first time in several decades.</lj-cut)
