Well, he kissed her back, so it wasn't totally mortifying. It was a big chance she'd taken there as he could've told her `ew` or that it was awkward. Sure everyone had been telling her completely different, but she still had her doubts. And he had to ruin the entire soul-bearing moment with a smart ass remark.
She swung to hit him pretty hard. "Don't be a jerk about it." Though the action was pretty violent and the words themselves were mean, her tone was anything but scolding. He was right. It took her way too long, though by his standards it'd probably been eons. "Also, I had a costume made for you if you ever want to come by and try it on. I think you'd look great in it." He said he wasn't into spandex, but it couldn't hurt to try. "...no, there are no stars or stripes involved." Had to reassure him before he zipped off.
Cap had said she'd made him proud, but she'd been laying off the streets lately and she felt that it was time to get back to business. "Just in case you ever want to you know...hang out. Fight crime." Just another thing normal teens did, right?
