"Uh, okay." Oh yeah, he was articulate. Obediently, Tommy stowed the ball near the hoop and trotted off behind her. Sure, he could have zoomed past her, ruffled her hair on the way, and made it there first. But there wasn't much of a point. He'd have to wait on her anyway.
"Aside from being sent to a school that is, on it's best days, completely insane and possibly about to be shut down by the military - which would be just great for me, by the way. And that meeting with my new caseworker," he made a face, "life's just peachy."
