Who: Kevin Sydney
Where: Xavier's
When: Saturday evening
What: crisis of character
No real home, no money, no job, no courses. Morph's life wasn't what he wanted it to be. It really couldn't be with the government doing what it was. He refused to be registered, even if it was now a requirement for all citizens. He just wanted to live at ease with other mutants. But then there were people -- if he could use the word people for monsters -- like the FoH who captured and beat his friends. He didn't even want to think about what they did to Tabby. But the rescue had made two things very clear: he wasn't a very good son, and he enjoyed the action way too much.
The X-Men liked to say they were involved. But they didn't really do things like this--things with instant results. He had promised his father he wasn't going to fall back into bad ways. Acting like a Hellion. Breaking laws. Doing worse things than that. But he had. And he'd liked it.
Heroically, he liked helping mutants. Selfishly, he like the adrenaline rush. Using his powers to sneak around. He liked Xavier's ideals in theory. In practice, he was a damn show off, and he loved it.
He'd been relatively quiet since his return. Thinking. Waiting. Because he felt something big was happening, and the moment he accepted which rules he could break, there wouldn't be a second chance.
