"Aye, I told her, but sh'is awful busy lookin' after all th'other mutants back home, so t'is for th'best if I stay here, y'ken? I'm no' very guid wie sciencey things, I wouldnae be much use tae her." Reaching up to run her fingers through her hair (and fur), Rahne uncurled a little bit.
"Sh'wasnae used t'havin' bairns round th'place anyway, jist patients an' assistants. Every wee while, I wonder why sh'adopted me in th'first place. No' in a bad way, jist... sh'is a very practical lady, an' I could do nothin' t'help her, an' sh'never made me do chores, so I dinnae ken why sh'did it. But I am more'n glad sh'did," she said, before realising that she'd been babbling. "Ach, m'sorry, Sofia, y'didnae need t'hear me goin' on like that, m'sorry."
She growled quietly to herself as she apologised, then shifted over slightly and gestured towards the ground beside her. "Would y'like t'sit down? T'is nice an' soft, an' no' damp at all."
